Unforgettable stays at Svinøya Rorbuer- winter and summer!

I’ve stayed at Svinøya Rorbuer many times, and every visit has been amazing.

I’ve been there in winter for the Northern Lights and in summer for the midnight sun, and both seasons were magical in their own way. One of my favorite memories was seeing orcas swimming just around the cabins — absolutely unforgettable!

The staff are warm and welcoming, and as a solo traveler, I always feel comfortable and at home here. Breakfast is always fresh and generous, and Børsen Restaurant serves delicious local food, especially the seafood.

Whether you come for the peaceful atmosphere, the natural beauty, or the amazing food, Svinøya Rorbuer is truly a special place — I can’t recommend it enough.

From the moment i arrived at Svinøya Rorbuer, i felt like I’d stepped into a dream. The views were breathtaking, the cabins were cozy and beautifully designed, and the atmosphere was pure magic.||The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more special. Waking up to the sound of the sea and the sight of the mountains felt unreal …a perfect blend of peace and beauty.||It’s one of those places that stays with you long after you leave. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Lofoten Islands…truly a magical experience!

I absolutely loved my stay at Svinøya Rorbuer. I stayed in one of the apartments in the Telegraph building and it was absolutely lovely. A vintage look, but with modern features that blended together seamlessly.

The bed was very comfortable, and there was a nice view out of both sides of the apartment. AND, there was a deck that I hadn't expected right outside the window.

The apartment was spotless and very well maintained. The staff I spoke with were very helpful - especially when the rental car I had died.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

stunning location (great for jumping off to day road trips), amazing room (RobuS+), great breakfast. also had wonderful dinner at Borsen Spiseri. the floating sauna and natural cold plunge was so worth it as well.

What a great little place this is - we really enjoyed our stay. The property is located on a small island just over a bridge from Svolvaer - it's an easy walk into the central part of town. ||We booked a Rorbu Cabin S+ and were given cabin 22. On check in, we were told this is probably the best cabin on the whole property because it has a view of the mountains and the water. I couldn't have agreed more. The view from the cabin was outstanding. The cabin itself was so cozy, with a big, modern bathroom, and clean, simple furniture throughout. The curtains in the bedroom did a good job blocking the midnight sun. It was also equipped with a full kitchen though we did not make use of it. ||Breakfast was good with a number of classic items on offer. Staff were professional but most were not overly friendly. ||We had dinner at Borsen Spiseri - the food was good but quite simple. Prices are exorbitant which we quickly found seems to be everywhere in Lofoten. ||Overall, we would not hesitate to return to Svinoya and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Svinøya Rorbuer è una struttura meravigliosa, davvero eccezionale sotto ogni punto di vista. Le rorbu sono accoglienti, arredate con gusto e perfettamente inserite nel contesto naturale circostante, creando un’atmosfera autentica e suggestiva.||La posizione è leggermente defilata rispetto al porto di Svolvær, ma vi assicuro che arrivando in auto, la vista dal ponte prima dell’ingresso vi lascerà senza fiato: uno scorcio da cartolina che anticipa la bellezza e la tranquillità che vi aspettano.||La colazione è ottima, ricca, curata e con prodotti di qualità. Abbiamo anche avuto il piacere di provare il ristorante della struttura e ne siamo rimasti entusiasti: cucina deliziosa, ambiente elegante e accogliente.||Un’altra chicca? La reception, un piccolo mondo a sé, piena di oggetti vintage e dettagli d’epoca che raccontano storie del passato: un vero incanto per gli occhi e per l’anima.||Svinøya Rorbuer è uno di quei posti che ti rimangono nel cuore. Assolutamente consigliato, per un soggiorno autentico e indimenticabile alle Lofoten.

Great blend of traditional charm and modern comforts. Wanted to give this 5 stars but odd parking, the lack of kitchen equipment like tongs/microwave/toaster/oil, no shelves in the shower, and having to take out the trash and strip the linens culminates in a star reduction for me. Overall good value and unique accommodation.

Forse uno dei rorbu più famosi delle Lofoten, Svinoya tiene fede alle promesse. L'appartamento è sicuramente il più bello che abbiamo trovato sulle isole, arredato con gusto e completo di ogni utensile. Bellissima la vista mare da ogni finestra della stanza. Parcheggio comodo e gentile l'accoglienza. Tante le esperienze disponibili che si possono prenotare direttamente con loro (anche se poi svolti da altri operatori). L'unico appunto che mi permetto di segnalare è di includere la colazione nel prezzo dell'alloggio.
