We've rented a room in the hostel wing of this building. I have to say that we haven't tried the showers or any other service in the hostel because it was a small stop in out trip but starting from the price that was honest, the view we had from our room (room 2) was amazing. The only downside are the stairs you are forced to do to reach the rooms, too small and kind of dangerous when frozen and bringing a big luggage with you.

++ very top location |++ quiet apartment on ground floor with direct access to beautiful terrace over the sea|++ extreme friendly multilingual staff on site, special thanks to Svitlana helping us with lot of information and her great patience|++ great panoramic view|+ very comfortable chair and sofa|+ broken refrigerator was immediately exchanged with the help of Svitlana|+ terrace was perfect place for our huskies to stay there|+ well equipped kitchen|+ original floor consisting of old solid wooden planks|+ enough parking space||- no dish washer|- internet was slow and not always solid stable (even as Svitlana tried it with another WLAN-router)

Absolutt verste nivå vi noengang har opplevd! Et gammelt råttent sted som det må være flaut å kalle rorbu! Gamle insekter og spindelvev i vinduene, oversvømt bad om en dusjet (og ikke noe å tørke opp med) brukt kaffikopp fra sist gjest! Igjenspikrete vinduer i stue og på soverom! To lampetter som eneste lys i stue. Ingen wifi som virket! Generelt råttent gammelt sted! (Og det luktet sånn også) Ta seg betalt 3.200 for dette for en natt er virkelig skandaløst! Anbefaler absolutt ingen å bo her! Dette var altså helt bedritent!

Upon entering the bungalow a terrible stench, not even ventilating helped. It turned out that the sofa smells so bad. The internet works very poorly, time does not work at all. in the cottages only some windows open, and some do not close at all. Generally a lot depends on which cottage you end up in, as some are renovated and to a slightly better standard. This is my second visit and I already know that I will not come back because to find a neat cottage is like playing Russian roulette. If it hits you then you will get a house that smells like a septic tank. I do not recommend this place because the owner does not care about that place.

In the responses to the poor feedback from users, you can see that the owner explains that the facility is under new management, but this is not quite true, as there are similar responses to comments from a few months ago, as well as those from 3 years ago.
It is simply a money-making machine that nobody cares about that place

This is a quick turn-over hostel that does what it's supposed to do: provide adequate accommodation near the centre of Kabelvag, including shared kitchen and bathroom. I felt the price was rather high for the basic facilities. You are notified by text or email as to which room you are staying in on the day of your arrival. I stayed there many days because Kabelvag is convenient for getting around Lofoten by bus.

It was old (not in the cozy way) and dirty. The room looked like it just got a «quick clean» and the bathrooms were nasty. The toilet was leaking water and there was dust everywhere. Didnt look like someone had cleaned it propery in a while. The only good side is that it had a great view.

Arrived with no check in instructions. Had to call from the dark and very cold. Man who answered the phone was unfriendly. Finally got the code to the keybox. Room was dark and cold. Fuse had blown out. Turned fuse back on and it kept going out the entire 5 nights I was there. About 5-6 times a day, during the night. Would wake up in middle of night freezing and have to go turn the fuse back on. There is no physical reception, you have to call for anything. And of course, they never picked up for me to try and get another unit. You have been forewarned!! This place is AWFUL!

We booked this accommodation on a short notice on ”high season”, and as we travelled with a dog we didn’t have much to choose from. I rarely give negative feedback/comment, but this was the least pleasant accommondation we have ever stayed in. It would have been a better idea to put up a tent for that night.||||We had informed the reception office on our arrival time, but we didn’t get the key when we arrived. They asked us to wait for an hour, and explained that a staff member was sick. After an hour we returned to ask to check in again, but our room was still not ready. Almost two hours after we first arrived we finally got the key, and we got adviced by the receptionist to stick to the check-out times to avoid these kinds of delays! Overall the customer service wasn’t too pleasant.||||The room itself had an amazing view to the sea, and there was everything we needed for simple cooking and one night’s rest. However the room had a very unpleasant fishy smell, and a poor isolation, so we were staying up as long as our noisy neighbours. ||||The central fire alarm went on in the middle of the night. There was no communocation about the issue, but a receptionist came to turn the alarm off after approx. 20 minutes. ||||All in all, Kabelvåg is a charming place, but this may not be the most enjoyable accommondation for your stay at this price range.
